Creating a Punch Clock Link

Create a punch clock time link to the Punch Clock form if you are an EWS system administrator and you want to allow employees to only enter their time into Punch Clock forms and you do not want to allow employees to view and manage their personal information, view timesheets, or view timesheet reports using EWS. You may also want to create a punch clock link if multiple employees use a shared computer to enter their time.

When you create a punch clock link, employees access the Punch Clock Log On form using the link you provide. Employees then use the Punch Clock form to enter their time. When employees use EWS to enter time using a Punch Clock Time Entry form, they cannot view and manage their personal information, view timesheets, or view reports. To create a punch clock time entry link, complete the following steps:

  1. Create an Internet browser link using the following syntax: http://ServerName/ews/ClockInOut.aspx, where ServerName is the name of the server where EWS is installed.
  2. Distribute the Internet browser link to your EWS users.
